Understanding the Process is as important as having the Technical knowledge.

Unless the way to deliver is understood the actual delivery is impossible.

In order to deliver successfully in a “working” environment it is vital that all the interested parties (or Stakeholders) are completely aware of the works and the benefits to them.

Timescales are going to be challenging so detailed planning is of prime importance.

Preparation:

Recognise the constraints, despite the temptation it is not always possible to cure all the ills that are already present in a working environment. Concentrate on your delivery and report the rest, provide workable solutions - recognise your Client has a budget too!

Plan with most expedient times utilised - I.e. Just because non-operational hours are available it is not always the most cost efficient way of implementation.

It is always our intention NOT to re-invent the wheel we always look to utilise existing designs to maximise efficiency.

Always concentrate on the Client Solution the proposal must always be arrived at ethically and the solution practical and of benefit - even if the answer is DO NOTHING. Offer the best solution no matter the supplier.
